Hats are powerful. They allow us to connect before we even make eye contact.
At some point during Covid, i really started missing my home of Chicago. Living in California, every now and then I’d see a Bulls or Bears hat and start to smile. I started wondering if hats could do even more to connect us to the places we have been & the communities in which we take pride.
I noticed a trend of more local hats, representing everything from local coffee shops to states. I imagined a way where any Chicago designer could create a hat and support their hometown. The result is Chicago Local.
